The end of this week marks the completion of our first Maker series. Justin W. Capp employees spent some time in the classroom at Hickman Charter school the past three weeks coaching and assisting students ages 8-12 with composing, creating, deconstructing, and designing. Using JWC donated materials, students built brushbots with scrubbing brushes and self-made motors; took apart household electronics like printers and toasters to understand the way different machines function; and learned 3-D design with an introduction to 3-D printing. We can’t wait to start our second session next week with a new group of innovate young makers!
